Here are a few lesser-known computer tricks that can be quite useful:

Windows Key + Period (.) or Windows Key + Semicolon (;): Pressing these key combinations in Windows 10 or later versions opens the emoji picker, allowing you to easily insert emojis into your documents, chats, or social media posts.

Middle-click on a taskbar icon: Middle-clicking on an application icon in the taskbar of Windows will open a new instance of that application. This can be handy when you want to quickly open multiple instances of a program without navigating through menus.

Ctrl + Shift + T: If you accidentally close a tab in your web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Edge), you can press this key combination to reopen the most recently closed tab. You can use it multiple times to reopen previously closed tabs in the order they were closed.

Windows Key + Shift + S: On Windows 10 or later versions, this keyboard shortcut opens the snipping tool, allowing you to take custom screenshots of a selected area on your screen. You can then save, copy, or annotate the captured screenshot.

Ctrl + Shift + V: Normally, when you paste text from the clipboard, it carries the formatting from the source. However, this shortcut is often supported in text editors or word processors and allows you to paste plain text without any formatting.

Windows Key + L: Pressing this key combination quickly locks your Windows computer, providing a quick way to secure your computer when you step away from it. It’s a good habit to lock your computer whenever you’re not using it to protect your data.

Alt + PrtScn: When you press these keys together, it captures a screenshot of the currently active window only, instead of the entire screen. This is particularly useful when you want to share or save a screenshot of a specific window without including other clutter on your screen.

Ctrl + Backspace: Instead of deleting one character at a time, you can use this combination to delete an entire word at once. It works in most text editors and word processors.

Remember that the availability of these tricks may depend on the operating system and software you’re using.
